Best Baby Item EVER!

"I have 3 children and have used this with all of them. It did take some practice the first few weeks, but I soon got the hang of it. You really have to follow the directions or it won't work right. But, if you do use it right, it is a GODSEND! My babies all loved it (and my 2 year-old still does)! They'd sleep in it, sit up and to along for the ride in it all bundled up in the sling, hip ride in it, or get a piggy back ride in it. The padded shoulder is thick and comfortable. It does not pull on your back, like some carriers. The rings are designed so you can tighten in certain areas more than others to ensure a good fit. I could do anything wearing my babies in this and could adjust it so I knew they were so secure they would not even fall out or budge when I bent over (it hangs like a hammock when worn in front instead of staying glued to your body like some carriers, so baby never tilts). I could not have lived without this. Best baby item I ever bought. I will be saving it for my children to use for their children!"

Its decent

"Its decent, but dosent help distribute the weight of toddlers well. After a few hours of carring my son around when he was only 6 months old i would be aching. And now at 2 years old i can no longer use it at all. Im dissapointed that it didnt have the shelflife that i expected. Its decent for small babies, but not so good for heavier ones. "

I Love this Baby Sling

"I absolutely have loved my over the shoulder baby holder. It's easy to adjust, easy to nurse the baby in, and gives me the hands-free freedom I need. I used it with my son and now am using it for the second time with my daughter. Both children have loved the comfort of being close to their mommy in the sling."

Get more than one of these!

"This sling is fantastic because it works so well for newborns all the way through toddlers. I have used it for my first three babies and plan to use it for the fourth in conjunction with a Mamma's Milk pouch. It is great to be able to set the baby down in it when its sleeping or use it as a changing pad. I always have at least two at home or in the car so I can exchange them if one needs washing from those baby accidents. It is most helpful when shopping as I can nurse the baby while walking and no one in the store has any idea that my baby is feeding instead of sleeping! I also love that you can wear the baby in so many different positions. When people have problems with this sling, I have noticed they often either buy the wrong size or they do not support the baby's weight with their arm when putting the baby in or out or adjusting the ring. If you let the baby's weight rest in the sling during adjustment, you will not be able to tighten the strap properly. Also, make sure to spread the fabric out across your back and rest the pad on your shoulder, don't let it twist or bunch up or you could suffer back or neck strain. "

Comfortable & Convenient

"I recieved one of these slings from my Birth Center. It took a few tries, but with practice, I was soon very capable of quickly moving my baby in and out of this sling. I like that I can put my son in quickly, and take him out quickly due to the ring adjustments. When he could sit up, this sling made an excellent hip carrier! I also was able to put him on my back with practice. I have tried a few different kinds of carriers, but I give this one #1 when it comes to comfort, ease of use, and versatility!"

harder than it looks

"I bought this sling when my baby was 1 month old,she is now 4ms and i still don't get the hang of this. It's too complicated, i surely don't recommend this to anybody. "

"I had few slings (Mayarap, Deedeemos) and I love my OTSBH best! it is just the easiest to use and the most comfterable one! Gordon is now 2 and half, and says himself that he likes sitting in this sling! Mamma Babyholder.. is a usual thing to hear in the house :)"

wierd... but I agree

"I read Dana's reaction, and she writes that she uses deedeemos(????) I don't know what sling that is, but maybe she ment Didymos... If it is this sling so I have to actually agree with her. I also felt more comfortable with my OTSBH! I love it cause it is so easy to use and so easy to switch positions and between me and my husband (or when grandma is visiting :) ). This easy on easy off of the OTSBH I think makes it my favorite!"

Great for newborns
posted by Maria Before 03/2006
"I wore this "upside down" (baby's head in the padded shoulder) with my newborn as soon as we came home from the hospital. It's also great before the baby has strong or consistent head control since the padding helps provide support when s/he's on the hip. I also find that with a smaller baby I tend to want my sling rather tight, so the padding protects her legs. The padding does limit the adjustability somewhat and I find that I'm wanting a "hybrid" sling so she can't work her way out with all of her wiggling. But my 2 year old is most comfortable in the padded sling (and so am I). "

Love it!

"I now have my OTSBH for almost half a year, and it has literaly changed my life. It is so comfortable and I manage actually to be close to my baby AND do other things in the same time! I suppose it's thanks to the padding that I can carry my son over long time (as long as needed), and anyhow if one shoulder does get sometimes tierd I just switch side after a while, but usually I dont need to. It is though smart to get used to carry on both shoulders I think, just in case! Enjoy! :)"

Works for us!

"Tom is a very sweet and active boy! At the first few months though he was I think (and everybody who knows him thinks like that too) the most active and awake baby I've ever known.. too awake! The thing that saved me and Tom's dad was getting this baby holder as a present! If we would know about it earlier I think it would have saved us lots of frustration, that's the only thing that gets Tom to relax, he just lays there watches everything we do and enjoys life :) And his dad is the coolest dad in the neighbourhood, walking and carrying Tom in this sling! "

It's great

"Well... as a real proud dad, I'm real proud to say that.. I get my baby to sleep so easily with the OTSBH!!! :) It's a great sling.. It's the only one I tried but it works good for me, and my wife tried actually some others from friends, but we stick to our good old OTSBH.. it's easy to use, it's comfortable, it works!"

More work then help!

"I had a really hard time with this sling! I started using it when my daughter was about 3mo and decided to give it a good week or two to feel comfortable with it. Well she is two now, and I still am not comfortable with it! *too bulky *Too challenging to get baby into sling *Even more challenging to get baby out of sling! *Rings are a challeng to adjust! This is after having the gal at the store give me direction & watch a video on how to use it."
